Social Media and Marketing Specialist
Think Tank, a locally owned and operated boutique marketing agency, is seeking a talented, creative, and organized Social Media & Marketing Specialist. As the Social Media & Marketing Specialist you will increase engagement for our clients by immersing yourself into their business—to strategically develop and execute plans, events, promotions, and online content. In this highly collaborative role, you will spearhead the social media and digital marketing efforts for a dozen clients. Reporting to the president, your role is to initiate action, ask questions, create content. and manage projects. Exceptional creative writing, copyediting, proofreading and time management skills are required. Graphic design experience is a serious plus.
Oversee social media and digital marketing including but not limited to: ascertaining client needs, strategic planning, curating content, idea and content calendar generation, budget recommendations, posting and implementation, ROI metrics analysis, email campaigns and on-going website content maintenance across multiple platforms.
Additionally, the role includes the development of traditional marketing strategies, event planning, promotion, and various projects for both new and existing clients. You will liaise with the media to establish and/or maintain key relationships, manage press contacts and relations including social media influencers, as well as assist with the production of artwork, concepts, writing, and designing collateral including magazines, print ads, brochures, etc. Availability to attend and professionally represent the company at events is expected.
- Strong creative writer
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- College graduate with 2-5 years of relevant experience in similar marketing role including internship(s)
- Exemplary project and time management skills
- Well organized and self-motivated problem solver
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines, alone and with a team
- Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload
- Macintosh platform proficiency
- Comfortable with public speaking and networking
- Availability to attend work-related promotional events, galas, stage productions, etc.
- Graphic design and photography skills are a plus
